There is a dude inside your tube that is taking photos of us.

Anyway, if it is mechanical get you some little football players and see if they will run around on the chassis.

Yes, I almost pointed out that you can see me in the KT66 :)   Thanks for the link, Ed. I have had that link saved in my favorites. It was very helpful to me when restoring my 65 Showman this past winter. I have elevated and added an artificial CT to the heaters on this amp. No change though. I may redo the ground bus at some point. But it would be a bit tedious. I presume it is mechanical noise. Can you explain your line about football players?  :w2:

Electric Football?  Are you kidding me?  You don't know an old tabletop game called Electric Football, where a bed like a cookie sheet would shake and little football (sort of like army men) players would run to get a white cotton football?

Where'd you grow up, in a cave? I've given up on growing up, I've grown old and STILL look for Electric Football games in Antique Stores.

I've got an old relay pinball machine (Gals Magic), if anyone wants it, it worked when I put it in the attic 10yrs ago!!  weighs about as much as my Buick :icon_biggrin:  NO I WON'T help move it!
but electric football, never heard of it and I believe I'm older than Ed by at least 3 days
I spent more $$'s at the arcade than I did at the drug dealer, and we were on a first name basis

OK, we have now derailed this topic, but not on purpose, and not maliciously.

To put this in perspective, electric football was popular when the Detroit Lions were contenders back in the 50's.   At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I am a product of the 80's. Born in '86. That said, I have seen the electric football players, but I just wasn't sure how that factors in to magnetic fields.

Also, I don't ever recall the Detroit Lions being contenders :l2:

Best not to try to get inside Ed's head unless you are ready for a wild ride down a long and winding road.   :l2:

My Dad (born in '58) also had an electric photo football game. I recall trying to play it with him once as a kid. Found some photos on eBay.

there is a correlation between anything "electric" ...In my day electric = AC, battery = DC... and magnetic fields, ...isn't football played on a field?  :angel

You are a product of the 80's, when did that happen?  The 80's.  Did you use a Tandy operating system?  Oh yes, that's when Rock Stars wore more makeup than their girls did.  After Van-Halen what else could they do except act crazy and become bisexual.

Thought I would visit for a bit.

Still trying to make the world fit you I see.  I get it tho, I am the sam way.  If I didn't do it, it couldn't be cool.

Actually, I only think I am cool, cool people do not care to know exactly what Clapton part was in Layla, but I just finished the journey through it.  No, not the fn 'Acoustic Unplugged crap" the electrified cool version.

See what I mean.  Maybe the Acoustic version is the cool one.  Go on and believe that crap!

Yes, but I'm old and crusty, not so delicate and impressionable.  :icon_biggrin:  Been a year and a half since I've been down on the causeway. 'Bout time to go back.

I had an electric football game. Got it for Christmas in ‘68. To be honest, I always got frustrated because the players wouldn’t go where I wanted them to, and “helping” them find their way was akin of cheating.

I ended up disassembling it to try and improve (break) it.

Ranked up there with the hockey game where the players would sit stationery and you would spin the rods to make them turn, which in turn would smack a small object turning it into a projectile.

Ahhh…. The memories of youth.

I agree,  the electric football was crap, as was the hockey with the long rods you pulled and spun.  Then in the mid 70's we got air hockey!  We did have a ball with that after we got one for Christmas.  Fairly mindless but it did develop your hand to eye coordination.

The Rich kids I sold weed to had air hockey, even with "home team advantage" I beat them often, since I took their money, bought quarters, and played for hours at the arcade  :icon_biggrin:
