Well This Sucks (Need some transformer rewinder recommendations)

So the secondary wire on my 1954, I think, Wide Panel Princeton broke off of the positive side of the output transformer.  Its the type where the output transformer mounts to the speaker basket.  I could possibly try and solder it back together but I really dont think thats gonna work out.  Now the amp is a player, its been recapped on the power supply along with new dropping resistors and screen resistor. The original speaker was swapped for a weber signature. 

So I am considering just having the original speaker repaired and having the original output transformer repaired/rewound at the same time.

Who does everyone recommend to rewind the transformer and re cone the speaker?  I was thinking weber on the speaker but will consider someone else.  I just want to get it back up to playing with as much original stuff as possible.

For the OPT you might talk to Patrick at Mercury Mag.


If your thinking of having the OPT rewound any try fixing it yourself.
