I read carr impala is BF bassman AB165, could I make the 5F6A build sound like AB165 or the deluxe reverb 22 sound like AB165 modding vintage channel??

Thanks

I don’t know TAD or tubetown offerings but some sort of Super reverb kit would probably be closest thing. I don’t know much about the carr either but saw they mention a blackface Bassman on their site. But that amp never had reverb to my knowledge so you won’t find that kit.

The 5f6a is a pretty different circuit from the AB165. Compare the AB165 to a Super Reverb AB763. More similar. The Super is probably closest to the Carr but it is a complex 2 channel build.

Doug has a single channel version, but you won’t get a clean simple kit if that’s what your after.

If you’re in the discovery phase still The Tone Geek and Rob Robinette has some good reading on modding the AB763 circuit.

I could build the super reverb without any trouble, the tone will be similar?

Could I make it work fine with 1x12 or 2x12? Thanks :)

yes
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
