Alternative turrets ?

Hey guys !

I've been salvaging components and parts for some time, and came across this small turrets, what do you think?

I wish I'd have thought of turrets when I rescued a Copicat tape echo, I had to stack some ceramic spacers to get the right height on this large resistor and keep it away from the board because of the heat, those tall thin turrets would be ideal

Anyone have tried those for tube amp boards ?

I've seen those in consumer grade electronics but never in high quality industrial equipment. The pics you showed look like cheap, thin, brittle boards. I would never try to salvage those. If the ends are already flared, they are useless.
