Check out this banner that keeps coming up on eBay, the link goes to some kind of scam advert for a device that somehow saves you power by plugging in the socket and running your devices through it?

But mainly the picture suggests you simply stick a nail into the mains wall socket with a pair of pliers..... nice and healthy

So all I gotta do to get cheaper kilowatts is to stick a nail into an outlet with some pliers?  Awesome, I'll do it!   Thanks, eBay!

The friggin' scam ads suckering people into thinking there is some magic trick to cut your electric bill by 90% are criminal. Why do we even have an FTC if they let this stuff go?
