ferrite beads..    this may be the simplist way to explain  they help prevent emi.     but that sound may be 60 hz hum.    if so it is coming from the filament voltage string most likely .. and could be coupling to the reverb from lead dress or a conductive tube socket.

Does the hum change when you move the tank relative to the amp, the lamp, and other electric objects?

What PRR proposed is a good way to check if the PT  is causing the hum. Also the position of the tank is essential i.e. the tank output must be in the other side than the PT.

Did you ever try to take the RCA sockets out of the chassis and ground them to ground bus?

Yes I tried that and moving the tank around outside of the cab and rotating it. Neither got rid of the hum.

PROBLEM SOLVED!

First I want to thank all of y’all for your help troubleshooting this issue. After try every know trick to remedy the issue and nothing working I found this on the internet.

Some reverb pans plug into the transducer while others are directly soldered. The Accutronics pan I was using was a plug in type as well as the other extra pan I had. I read that these “plug in” pans are prone to picking up hum from the transformers where as the direct solder pans are not.

So I bought a Fender pan which is made by Ruby Tubes and directly soldered. I plugged it in my amp and it works perfectly with no hum! So the only thing I can deduce is that difference in plug in and soldered.

Here is the part number to the direct soldered Fender pan. 0063064049

This is a picture of my two pans. One with a transducer plug in and the other direct solder.

Are they both grounded? Both isolated ground? Ohms from RCA shell to tank.

By placing the old tank outside of the cabinet far away from the transformers should have solved the problem as well. But it did it not or?
What is the code (parameters) of the new tank.

One transducer is red and one is yellow.

.

Wow after comparing parameters the output ohms are very different from each other. Could that have been part of them problem?

“Fender” Tank Parameters

Input Impedance:
8ohms AC/0.9 ohms DC

Output Impedance:
150 ohme AC/ 46 ohms DC

Decay Time:
Short (1.2 - 2.0 seconds)

Connectors:
Input insulated, output grounded

Accutronics “Surfy Pan” Parameters

Input: 8 ohm

Output: 2,250 ohm

This is the only info I could find on this pan.

Yes I moved the tank all over my house and it never changed the hum I was getting.

So the number of the new tank is something like 4AB1C1B?

What is the number of the old one?
