Greetings from Alaska

I am new to this forum though well aware of (and have a very positive impression of) Hoffman amps.   I recently started refurbishing tube amps and enjoy the challenge.   My work is pretty basic so far  (replacing tubes, replacing filter caps, and sometimes replacing missing or non-functional pots, resistors, jacks, etc.)   I've built one kit amp (a Champ) and restored two pretty cool larger tube amps, a Carvin X-100B head and an Epiphone Futura RVT.   I'm having some issues with the latter and will ask forum members for their input.   For years now, one of my winter hobbies (lot's of indoor shop time in Alaska in the winter) has been restoration of damaged or derelict electric guitars.   That usually means repairing neck breaks, refinishing with nitro lacquer, and installing new electronics and hardware.   Consequently, I have way too many guitars which is why I am more interested in working on tube amps these days.   I am retired and have the time to do these things.

Welcome to the Hoffman Amps forum

There are many different boards on this forum for different topics.

The Tube Amp Building - Tweaks - Repairs board is where you can post amp questions.

That board is listed here.

Thanks,

I had to laugh.  If you are not careful, you will soon have too many amps laying' around.   :icon_biggrin:

But, that's not a bad thing at all!
