To use or not to use odd tubes
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've got a bunch of odd tubes NOS
6AK6
6BH6
6C4
6BN6
6DT6
6j6
6CG8

any any good for a guitar amp... (I have at least 10 of each)

And what does "sharp cutoff pentode" mean?? 6BH6 & 6DT6

I think the 6AK6 will be good as a reverb driver SE ???

Any suggestion is welcome....

Sharp cutoff means linear operation as opposed to remote cutoff pentodes which are intended for AGC purposes. Pentodes can be noisy at audio frequencies and give way too much gain for the kind of overload distortion that is usually wanted in guitar amps.
6C4 is half of 12AU7 and has been used in some amps, usually as phase splitter.
6J6 is a filament current hog, drawing as much as 6V6, but could be used as phase splitter or as reverb driver with both plates paralleled.
All the tubes you mentioned have disadvantages compared to the tubes usually found in guitar amps.

This guy uses compactrons to make a simple (and maybe dangerous) audio amplifier:
