Reverb drivers transformers
« on: October 07, 2022, 04:08:21 pm »
Hi

I wonder about 2 types of reverb driver transformers.  The hammond 1750A (prim 25000 ohms/ sec 8 ohms) and the 1750AX (prim 7500 ohms/ sec 8 ohms)
The 1750A is advertised as a driver for reverb tanks in Fender amps. The 1750AX is advertised as blackface reverb drivers. I'm confused on the terminology... is the 1750AX designed for the stand alone units?
What if one would put the 1750AX in a fender amp AB763 reverb circuit?

Thx

i would expect to see that 1750ax in either the standalone reverb unit or something like the fender vibro king, both of which drive the tank with a 6v6
