Single-Ended Push-Pull
« on: October 19, 2022, 12:29:26 pm »
Out of curiosity, were there any mass-produced single-ended push-pull guitar amps?

If not, is it considered inferior for guitar?

Thanks! I came across this in an EL86 datasheet. (I've followed shooter's suggestion and started browsing through old datasheets)

in that form, probably not, as Self-biased PP, like a Gibson GA-5T skylark, they did pretty well
Went Class C for efficiency

Thousand-Ohm speakers didn't last well in Hi-Fi (wire too thin). Even in home Hi-Fi they were real rare.
