Texas Blues oldschool
« on: November 21, 2022, 03:31:13 pm »
Now being an old man ..................  I'm going back and trying to learn some of the songs of my youth.  :icon_biggrin:

I saw Johnny Winter do this in maybe '69 or '70 in Ft. Worth Texas?   He put on quite a show.

I don't know if anyone could play "his" version of this song but I wanted to try to put a little Texas playing into it as an effort.

Great playing and tone from a true gentleman who has helped me with a few builds: modded versions of the Mini-Bassman; HoSo56; and So-Low ECL84.
Cheers man!

I mostly record with "The Minimalist" 6BM8 amp like a HoSo56 with a 5879 in V1 with no pedals except a reverb pedal.

Sometimes I'll record with a Tweed BluesMeister Lite using a 5879 for the overdrive channel.

Thanks for the feedback!  I appreciate the kind words.

With respect,  Jeff
