Hi, I love this AMP. But I don't underdtand that what type AMP? British sound american sound?

It's a hybrid amp.  Made in Mississippi.  Mostly tube-driven but with some solid-state and op-amps in the reverb and effects loops.  The amp has parts that are somewhat Fender-ish and somewhat Marshall-ish.  YMMV

PV got it’s own sound but the ‘minimum cost’ approach to mass production quality (thin PCBs with flimsy traces, jumper wires and cables that easily crack if the boards are flexed a bit* etc), means the amp isn’t designed to last much longer than the manufacturer’s standard warranty period, and these amps aren’t mod-friendly (and they’re not even repair-friendly which is why lots of techs refuse to work on them, because once you touch them, even if you fix everything, the chances are the owner will bring it back in a few weeks when something else goes wrong, demanding you refix it for free because ‘you obviously didn’t fix what I already paid you to fix’ etc, so they cause too much grief and they’re not worth the troubles. And that’s the end of my rant).


* one time I spent 2 whole days disassembling and reassembling one of these amps 13 times before I finally got all the broken jumpers and cables going. Never again. Not cost effective.

Thank's for all answers. Can you recommend any AMP that İt's sound similar to peavey classic series?

By the way, there is no any ptp project for pv classic, I can't see anywhere

No.  Best to use your own ears.  You know what you like about this one.  Go to a good guitar store and try some different amps and compare their sounds to what you know.

I once had a Peavy Classic 50-4x10” combo.
I think it sounded great… on the clean channel with all the knobs turned up to 12 (except reverb).


I sold it to acquire, what I thought would be my dream amp—Mesa Blue Angel, that I never did bond with.


I was not tube amp savvy back then (mid 1990’s?) and would never consider opening up an amp, let alone modifying it.


Decades later, I did some poking around the internet with intent of learning any interesting design details about the circuit.  I got lost trying to read the schematic and simply built a Marshall 18 watt.
