serving the song

The Great Willabe once said to me "the guitar solo should serve the song" and I kinda knew what he meant by that.
So, when I heard this version of Vince Gill's song done by Chris Stapleton one thing stood out to me - how the solo served the song.
This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite guitar solos of the past recent history. Tone, Touch, Taste, the three T's are all there.
If you want to skip right to it, it starts at 3:30, but the whole song is worth a listen.
