Thanks Sluckey. Really enjoyed it. He even included some songs from Stills and Young. Great guitarists accompanying him!

It was my older Sister that introduced me to CNSY with the newly released 4 Way Street album. I still vividly remember hearing the Lee Shore for the first time. What a great song.

That's a good one too! CSNY were a big influence on me in the '70s. I hung up all my electric stuff, bought a D45 and didn't pick up the electric again until about 2005. Built an amp and showed up here.

In the Lee Shore video, both Nash and Crosby are playing their mid 60's D45. I heard it was Stills that bought the D45's for all of them (CSNY) as gifts...

When I started making more significant money though, I could never justify buying a D45. I consider an electric to be a completely different instrument than an acoustic steel string and even more so from a classical. I play mostly electric and very little acoustic. I have a 1990 HD-28 and a 1972 Guild Navarre J50 Rosewood sides and back, both excellent guitars. So more than enough for the amount of acoustic playing I do. Still dream buying myself someday get a D45 though...

This is the song that pushed me to get a D45. Actually, the entire Harvest album pulled me away from the dark side.

Ah yeah. Harvest was definitely one landmark album for me too. Very inspiring. At least I could play Neil's songs. On the other hand, playing songs from Hot Tuna's 1969 debut acoustic album was a different story...  Hmmm... Back then anyway... Maybe now that I have more than a "few" years guitar playing experience,  I should pick up my acoustics again, and start learning a couple of those songs... It would be fun.

Loved how they handled the vocals and really enjoyed the outtakes at the end where they showed them working on the harmonies in a backstage singing circle.
