Tubenit’s octal reverb?
« on: March 16, 2023, 02:42:46 am »
I just ran in to and old a thread about an octal reverb but the layout and schematic links are down.
I’m doing an all octal, parallel 6K6 build and have way to much chassis space. Was thinking of adding a tiny bit of reverb and found Tubenits post.
Does anybody have the schematic and layout available? Preferably in the non .sch format. Do only have a security classes work computer and can’t install any external software.
Thinking that this reverb would fit like a glove before the MV. The reason I’m adding a MV in this build is that I got a cab and it already had a pot for that. Might change it for adding a reverb instead.

A one tube reverb "might" work between the FX return jack and the master volume. I've never done one on a single ended amp before. I'd be inclined to use a 12A_7 tube for it so you can have options of 12DW7, 12AT7 or 12AX7 or 5751.

There's alot of info on one tube reverbs in ARCHIVES here:   Adding 1-tube reverb (el34world.com)

However, I'd be inclined to just use a reverb or delay pedal in the FX loop instead.

With respect, Tubenit

Thanks for your inputs. Since there is an fx loop and I have a reverb pedal it might be a stupid idea. 🙂
Just that I have too much chassis space. Not used to that. I will look in to your link. It seems like a neat idea so I have to try it sometime. Also the Lamington reverb.
