58 Deluxe w/replacement transformers

 58 Deluxe w/replacement transformers

 Had a pretty nice sounding 58 tweed deluxe come across the bench recently and noticed the dreaded plastic wiring coming from both the power and output transformer. Further inspection revealed that the P/T is a Triad which I read was original equipment on some tweed twins but the o/t has no brand markings.

My question to the distinguished members of this forum is: Is Triad an acceptible replacement transformer capable of producing similar tone to the original or is there another transformer out there that is better?

 the best replacements are Axiom tone clones if you want an exact drop in replacement
