Hello All,
New to the forum and to amp mods and builds.  I’m a water/wastewater design engineer from Birmingham, AL.  I recently became obsessed with tube amp mods and now want to do a build.  I’m impressed with the knowledge all of you willingly share.  Look forward to learning more and passing it on if I ever get to that point.

Welcome to the Hoffman Amps forum

There are many different boards on this forum for different topics.

The Tube Amp Building - Tweaks - Repairs board is where you can post amp questions.

That board is listed here.

Thanks,
Doug Hoffman

RVaughn,

And welcome again.  This (imho) is the best tube geek forum on the net.  I've been here three years now and these folks have taught me so much and answered soooo many questions with patience and grace.  I am grateful they let me drag up a chair.

If you're thinking about a first amp, my suggestion is that you strongly consider buying one of the better kits out there rather than source your first one by yourself.  Likely that kit will cost you less in the long run and you'll have some support if needed.  My first was a a Bell&Howell projector conversion done from scratch.  Well, let's just say that eventually it started working but a kit would have been a much easier introduction.   :BangHead:

Good luck on your journey.  Btw, these things are more addictive than crack cocaine.  You have been warned.
