Hey all,
I have a non-functioning Morley EDL.
So far I've turned the unit on through a light bulb limiter, no delay but the direct did pass to the output.
The unit was purchased at an estate sale with no real helpful info fro the previous owner.
I took it apart today and found the unit to appear mostly stock and intact, several of the back panel screws were missing.
I have not opened the can yet, but it seems to be empty. I have already purchased the known OEM LB-65 replacement oil.
The apparent issues.
The Delay knob is attached directly to the oil can which spins freely and has a black string wrapped around the shaft, one side is wrapped around a potentiometer mounted at the bottom of the oil can and the other side is a tension spring.
Is this string pulley system stock?
I can spin the delay knob more than a full rotation in either direction but the lower pot is never adjusted.
I have also shown a cap that had a leg floating over the input level pot. The other side is connected to the input jacks ground lug.
Before I proceed any further, I'd really like to find some information on the delay control.
Below I've attached photos of the unit and the only schematic i've found online.
Anybody have experience with these machines?
