Nice pedal but when all hooked up and off, no noise from amp, turn it on l hear snow, once l play can’t hear any noises except what l play, amps sounds fantastic. Would like to get rid of the snow when on and not playing?

I'm a southern boy without much experience but all the snow I've ever seen was extremely quiet. Not at all like that noisy rain beating down on my house right now.   :icon_biggrin:
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Huh? What are you talking about? I'm proud to be a southern boy. Nothing derogatory about it.

I thought we were talking about snow. Us southern boys don't have much experience with SNOW but we do know it's damned quiet! Nothing like these thunderstorms we've been having all week!

I'm assuming it is a Stewmac thing, right?

When I put one of those together, the parts are so reffing small that I had to get out my loupes to do the work.  And the foot switch wiring was weird.

Once I got it right, it sounds reffing great.

Bottom line, go back over the build . . .   not what you wanted to hear, but  . . .

I think maybe a ground loop
Hum, worst with wall-wart. But, yeah it’s a great pedal but a pain to assemble still worth it. I think they sell sone kind of pedal that fixes any gound issues..?
Sluckey, lol, l thought the post l posted in “Other Topics” about eating peppers at a bar with a Southern Boy, that l worked with losing $5 was an insult to a guy from the South…,ha. I have a lot of friends from the south, southern boys are great people, a “good old boy”, and a blast partying with.. :icon_biggrin:
I’m just a yankee, born in NY, moved to MD, at twelve, so l grew up with southern guys if you want to call Maryland the south, it ain’t but..?  Played football, basket ball and drank a lot of beer in high school. Also, started playing country music before classic rock. So, that’s where l was coming from.

Also a northerner (Michigan) who moved to MD 20 years ago.

Whether MD is in the north (no, not really), or the south (not so much), or in-between (there you go) is debatable.   It totally depends on what beer you are sipping. :occasion14:

Look's like MD is in the middle of the Mid-Atlantic region. Now IMO up state NY being in the Mid-Atlantic is more than debatable, I think it's contestable...  :icon_biggrin:

I've seen/heard snowflakes so large that you can hear them hit the ground.

I assembled one of these kits last winter. Worked fine. I'd go over all solder joints with a magnifying glass. Look for ones you may have missed. I missed a few myself but caught them during the periodic inspections of the board after soldering sessions. Look for some that may look cold. Also check for wiring errors. Maybe a diode in backwards? Mine fired right up with no issues but I'm always checking and double checking while assembling. Same way I do amps. I'm slow as molasses but I rarely have to fix things. Make sure the audio jacks are wired right. Could have a wire flipped. Try using a 9V battery instead of power supply.
