Strong Straight line Winds Yesterday
« on: August 28, 2023, 11:47:26 am »
We got hit by straight line winds Sunday about 4:00 PM. These were some of the strongest wind I ever seen here. Even more than rude Hurricane Rita. We came out with the house very good and only had a storm door blown off. We have lots of big limbs down. Power has been out about 12 hours now and running on our generator right now. Been cutting up limbs closest to the house and clearing the driveway this morning. I'm thankful because it could have been so much worst
On the right track now<><

Glad you are OK! You be careful around weakened trees and idiot drivers.

Thanks! Power came back on last night about 8:30 PM. I'm kind of taking it easy today cause after yesterday of wielding that ol power saw all day my body feels like I went through a ringer washing machine and I got a little cold/congestion today. Kinda over did it but I had a neighbor helping and I wanted to keep the sawed limbs coming, otherwise working by myself, I would have worked a lot slower.  Going through this causes you to surely appreciate the normal life(retired) :icon_biggrin:
