Seeking reactions to Deluxe Reverb with Tweed Norml Channel and Chanel Switching

I never seem to play my 22 watt Plexi Vibroverb. Played a very nice Silverface DR and I'm smitten. So it is rebuilding time.
My new plan will fit a modded Deluxe Reverb into a Princeton Reverb chassis using only 5 preamp tubes. Sluckey's Trem-o-nator saves 1/2 tube and a Tweed Normal Channel save the other half. Other tweaks include a negative feedback switch and a Tone control on the Reverb. The biggest question I have is about my plan to allow switching the Reverb and Tremolo effects from the the typical Fender Black Panel Channel to the Tweed Normal Channel. Will this work?Any other reactions based on real or theoretical experience are also appreciated!

I think the amp is a cool idea & something that makes sense to me in a practical sense.

But after checking out the switching & the complexity that will add as far as noise potential, wiring, etc. I am not seeing the added value to make it worth the trouble, compared to just having both channels hard-wired & balanced to each other before they head to the power amp.

I see you would have a "pure" tweed signal path by switching out the effects, but that is all I am coming up with, though it is likely I am missing something...?

I like the concept of being able to get trem and reverb on the tweed channel when desired, Started working on the layout layout design last night and found that the 12AT7 reverb driver needs to move to V2 position to shorten wire runs. My first priority is an amp that has pure Deluxe Reverb tones when desired. I don't want to lose that in my efforts to have additional non-traditional tonal combinations available. So if I build with an "effects channel assignment switch", I will make it fairly easy to completely remove it if it adds noise. I won't be getting a faceplate made until all the bugs are worked out!

The simple way to get channel switching is with a good A/B/Y box. I can testify that the Whirlwiind A/B/Y has a built in active circuit that allows silentswitching, no coloration or degrading of signal because I've had one for years and works great.
