Things were all going pretty smooth when I heard a loud "Bonk" and the power went out. So I went out and look around the utility pole with the switches and power transformer to my house. There on the ground was a seriously fried squirrel, dead of course but his body was still warm. I didn't see any of the switch arms disconnected or any loose wires. So I went in and called in a power outage. I figured it would be a long ordeal on the weekend so I went and opened up the shed to start getting my generator out when I seen the electrical company truck driving slowly by, so I went out to the road to flag him down. Told him about the squirrel incident and he said it knocked out power all the way down the block. He said he had to go change a fuse down the block and the power would be back on in 5 minuets and so it was. Happy!!
So I was trying recover from that excitement and came back in the house to relax and it was getting kind of hot, so I turned on the AC and nothing! Went and took a look at the air handler and found a three amp burnt fuse in the control circuit. No replacement fuse, so I went to town and got a package of 5.So I tried it several times and it would blow a fuse every time. So I tried the heat and that worked fine---except I don't need heat! Texted my HVAC man about the situation and he said something is wrong with the Condenser unit, he would check it first thing Monday morning.
I know it could be a whole lot worst but it's amazing how stuff happens back to back sometimes??
