Frank Marino rhythm kinda

This certainly doesn't match Frank's incredible blues song but does a respectful nod to his tune

Rhythm only backing track   https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14683082

This was my 2nd take solo attempt on the song. I only had about 60 seconds of creativity for a 2.5 minute song. However, I had fun attempting it and trying stuff like this helps me continue to grow in this interest.

I attached some sheet music if anyone has interest in this rhythm.  I hope someone out there will download the backing track and put a decent solo over this.  :icon_biggrin:

Respectfully,  Jeff

Nice job Jeff
I have not had any time to mess around with that tune
The scale and notes Frank uses is very cool sounding
Much nicer to my ears than a typical blues scale.

I really like this chord progression on this song and I agree it's way more interesting than typical 1,4 & 5  12-barre blues.

I'm likely gonna work on learning some kind of solo to play over this. The solo seems to wander back and forth from A major pentatonic to A minor pentatonic with some other stuff going on also.  I'm thinking the "other stuff" may involve playing some arpeggios between chord changes, but I don't know?

Maybe try another solo in a few weeks or few months if I'm able to improve on this.

Jeff

I played around with it just playing along with my pc. It definitely will take a little work to come up with a worthy lead part. It's different than your normalblues in a very good way.
On the right track now<><

Hey Bob,  thanks for experimenting with it!  I sure hope you give it a try and record a solo over it.  :icon_biggrin:

Would love to hear something you do with it. Always enjoy your playing!     Best regards, Jeff
