dave's device docking station
« on: February 27, 2024, 05:09:05 pm »
last no power 72 hours my batteries were ~~~4-6vdc
had to fire up the buick for an HOUR to change up my laptop, phone, music player....
no more cobbling
the top box is a 2-6A 12vdc battery charger, powered through the switch/receptacle
750W 12volt invertor, battery is outside on the porch in a plastic bin
all cabled through the wall, hopefully the Mrs won't be still holdin a grudge from the hole-in-the wall once it's trimmed out, NO power n she uses it for devices:)

still deciding if I need Steering diodes for the battery charger.  since the charger only works WITH power n the invertor is only on WITHOUT power, leaning to, "everything has internal protection"  :icon_biggrin:
Went Class C for efficiency
