Silverface champ PT L010020 (rewire to 230v)

I've recently acquired a mid 70s silverface champ with the dual primary L010020 power transformer.


I would like to rewire it from 110v to 230v to be able to use it here in Europe, the issue is that I can 't really find a schematic that tells me which taps to use (what I need to splice).


Could anyone give me a hand?

By the way since the switch in there is going to be a SPST I imagine I need to wire it in the live side with the fuse before it, right?

Aren't both AC lines at the plug hot? I suggest using a DPST switch to break both lines. Just like the drawing shows.

What do you mean if both are hot? One should be neutral 0v and the other live 230v... But yes I can most definitely try to find a DPST.


Also the 230v drawing shows the fuse after the switch, shouldn't the fuse be place before?

I'm not familiar with voltage standards in Europe. In the USA a 240V mains would have 120V between each line and ground and the phase of the two lines would be 180° apart. This gives 240V between line 1 and line 2.

In most of europe you got a 230v hot cable, a neutral or zero and the additional ground. neutral really is neutral. hot is hot (humming can't touch this)

they can be on different sides in every single power outlet in the house in theory (exept for ground which is always in the middle)
