Greetings,
I made my first post the other day, got some great responses, and I've really enjoyed perusing the forum and databases. I figure I'll be spending some time here and wanted to throw in an intro post.
My name is Bogan and for the past 10 years I've lived at high elevation in Flagstaff, AZ where I spend a lot of time skiing, caving, canyoneering, off-roading, and soaking up the finest sunshine on the planet. I'm from Texas originally and grew up in an incredible music community with which I still participate as much as possible despite the distance. I'm not the most talented musician, but I've always had a knack for the technical things and enjoy tinkering with guitars, amps, pedals, etc. I've only recently decided I want to start building some amps.
Professionally I do major composite repairs on wind turbine blades (yes, the big ones) which are accessed via rope systems. I'm a member of the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT), a composites instructor/trainer, and recruiter in addition to continuing to perform some field work as a repair technician. It's travel intensive work so I enjoy extended periods of time at home where I enjoy a lot of woodworking, wrenching on cars, and playing bass with some good buddies in a "band" two or three times a week when possible. We jokingly refer to ourselves as Inyrd Skynyrd.
I am not single, not married, have no children and that's a great balance for me.
I look forward to participating in this community and utilizing the amazing resource this site and it's members obviously are.
Cheers,
Bogan
