Hello Group,
Looking for some help in finding a schematic I can read for a Fender SuperChamp X2 I just got. The amp was an ebay purchase from back in September, and unfortunately I just unboxed it today. Of course, it's DOA! The tubes light up, but that's it! No sound coming through it at all. I think I may have found a cooked resistor on the board, which I have removed from the amp. I actually extracted it this afternoon, along with the board from another X2 I have, and installed the board from a known good amp into the unit I just received. (Note, my other unit is a 'combo' unit where the subject unit is just a 'head' version) Upon completing the installation of the known good board, the head unit now functions properly. So, good power transformer and output transformer!! Beyond that, I'm somewhat clueless as I do virtually nothing with amps containing this kind of circuitry, solid state and IC chip type parts, and PC boards. This is perhaps as far as I've ever gone with amps like this. Simply put, I''m a tweed and black face kind of guy......... But, this little X2 rather intrigues me, and I need a 'shop' head. So, I bit the bullet off ebay for one, and simply made the mistake of 'not' opening and testing it earlier. Guess that's a lesson learned. Anyway, as stated, I think I might have found a resistor in the power supply side of the board that might be 'cooked'....but I'd like to find a value for it. Hopefully that will be reflected on the schematic. I probably should have checked the one in the 'good' board before installing it, but too late now (mostly). Any help is appreciated!
