PT Tap question
« on: April 13, 2025, 06:25:44 pm »
PT will power 2 x 5881 tubes and 40 watt OT.  this 25V tap @75ma, what can it be used for? Not enough for a bias supply? Not enough to rectify for 12vdc for  V1 filament?

25VAC will rectify to 35VDC which could be okay for 6V6s depending on the B+ voltage, but it’s no problem to squeeze more out of it if you use a voltage doubler. 75mA is plenty for a bias supply.
A bus stops at a bus station. A train stops at a train station. On my desk, I have a work station.
