Blackstar Ht club 40 MkII
« on: July 23, 2025, 07:17:16 am »
Hi,
A friend of mine brought to me a Blackstar HT club 40 Mkii, to keep it short - it doesn't work.
Someone already was doing something with it, 12ax7 sockets have been resoldered/swaped? and 1 pot was replaced.

None of the LEDs is glowing, except from OD voice LED which blinks from time to time.
Tubes are working, at least the heaters, no sound comming from the speaker.
All fuses are ok.

So it looks like checking low voltage section will be my starting point.
And I will have to change filter caps, because 2 of them already look supsicious, I guess placing them between 2 big 5W resistors is not the best design...

Does anyone have a schematic for this?

If there isn't not sound or noise at all, I would start looking the connection to the speaker.
Couldn't fin schem, here some links about this amp, there is a few more vidoes on that same channel about this amp:

Yeah, I've watched them, not much info that would help in my case tho:(

Unfortunately it's not that simple with this amp... there are so many spots where something could fcked up, plus none of LEDs is glowing, that's why I was hoping for a schematic, but it won't be that easy, as I can see.
