Moving Blank Board with Eyelets
« on: December 26, 2025, 08:04:00 am »
I've created a new project, and added a blank board with explicit dimensions.  The size of the chassis was set as the same size as the board.  Then I added Hoffman eyelets to it.  So the chassis and the board are now identical in size.

Now I want to enlarge the chassis so I can add off-board components, like pots, sockets, etc.  Nothing has been added to the board or the eyelets.  Everything is blank, I've just enlarged the chassis.

So I want to move the board with added eyelets that now sits in the top, left corner of the chassis, so that it is more centered in the enlarged chassis area.  Problem is that when I move the board the eyelets don't move with it.  They stay where they are.  I've tried locking the layers but doesn't make any difference.

How can I make this change?

Thanks.

Lock all the layers except Board and trace
Eyelets and lugs are on the trace layer
Control A to select everything

Now move the board and eyelets using the arrow keys

Thanks-Worked great!

Is there a post somewhere that has tips like this on working with the board, components, layout, etc?

I hate to bother forum members with stuff that seems so basic, and the DIYLC website manual really isn't very helpful for me.

Thanks again.
