I have included photos of this below, this has happened on omeg and citec pots, both are very similar.
The second photo show the cleaned off carbon track.
The grease was very thick and sticky.
I'm sure when reassembled it would work fine however that's not the point it shouldn't happen in the first place.
I'm posting this so people can avoid these makes.
