Hoffman Reverb - on / off switch

 Hoffman Reverb - on / off switch

 This is my first electronics project, so this is probably an extremely dumb question. Nevertheless, here goes:

I am building a Hoffman Reverb and the switch in the diagram sure looks like a double pole singe throw switch. However, on the parts list it is shown as spst switch. Am I missing something here? My friend has the '63 Fender Reissue and it looks like a spdt switch to me.

Help!!!

 The power switch is spst on most reverb units.

All you have to do is turn on and off the hot black wire from the power cord.

The white power cord neural wire can stay hooked to the transformer full time.

Fender re-issure reverb units may have dpst switch but you don't have to use one of those.
