I opened up the old forum so members could go get their old PM's

There are no boards to view.

Here's an idea that will let you receive them all by email.

Go to your User CP in the old forum,
Compose/create a new email on your local computer
open all your PM's
copy and paste each message into the body of the email
send the email to yourself
Now you will have all your old PM's in one email that you can save.
