I have an OT that is marked on the primary side -9K ohm- P1, B, P2 then on the secondary side 16 ohm,8 ohm,0 ohm. What type of output tubes would this trans suit? It looks to be the size of a deluxe reverb type.
thanks for any help.

A pair of 6V6's or EL84's would work fine.

 Thanks OldHouseScott ,
That'll be my next build then, a nice little 6v6 combo.

or use the scondaries as 4 ohm and 8 ohm, this would make the primaries look like 4500 ohm and you could use 6l6 or 6550's, if i could handle the power.

Thanks for the info Ernie but I'm not really sure if this old
tranny would be up to it. It's a pull from an old organ amp which ran a pair of 7868 output and 2 x 6au6 preamp tubes. I really don't know enough about Ots to know or to test that's why i played safe and posted here.

I have a Bogen PA amp that has a pair of 7868 tubes and it puts out 35 watts. The plates have about 440 volts, right in the 6L6 or 5881 category.
