Hey Guys,
If you haven't tried this new tube yet, do yourself a favor and try a pair!!! These things are amazing, Fat Willie (AKA Lord Valve) said he had one at 510 plate volts and drawing 40ma on the cathode (that's 20W plate dissipation!!) and WOULD NOT RED PLATE-NO JOKE! I put them in a 73 Bandmaster with 435v on the plates, and turned them up to 11w ea and they sound awesome, and do not red plate with the amp on 10!! Willie said that he's got guys running these in mid 70's 100w marshalls (High plate voltage) and they're performing beautifully. I'm not sure of the longevity of these run at this kind of voltage, but they do not show any signs of a tube that is being run too hot, I REALLY like the tone I'm getting!

I ran some JJ 6V6's at 468 volts for almost 2 months playing 2-3 hrs a wk on em. They worked great with no problems. Also have 38 ma on them. It's a good tube and I like the way it sounds.

I had the oppurtunity to torture 4 JJ 6v6s in my recent plexi build when I popped the Bias Cap, I saw 128ma on them!! when I was trying to figure it out They still work and sound pretty good.
