I love crazy stuff like this.  Somebody makes a $1000.00 ethernet cable that is " directional" and "quieter."   ;)  I can see avoiding the Banjo Center cheapo cables that the ends pull off of, (fun to get out of Marshall style jacks).  As long as the power cable's gauge is a little larger than what's required, I can't see how it could possibly effect tone.  Were talking about the last 6 ft of an unknown branch circuit.

Hehe... yeah.  You're kidding, but I'm quite surprised they didn't say that.  Nevermind the miles of aluminum feeding that measly three feet of copper.  Actually, I didn't see a single specification listed anywhere to back up their claim that their product is better.  The real question is...

... how the heck do you get so many pro players to endorse crap like that?  Don't they care at all about their reputation?  Wait a second... what am I thinking?  Pro musicians have for years endorsed junk that never does what the Musician's Fiend blurb says it will.  This really is no different.  Clearly it's never affected their rep before now, so I guess this won't, either.  Now, the real, real question is...

...how do you convince kid musicians that it's not their fault when their new Eddie pedal doesn't make them sound like Eddie at all?  Figure that one out and Banjo Center will take a hit out on you.  I guess I should leave well enough alone.

I've actually installed one of those.  The dude had just dropped 15K on a CD player alone.  We also added a #10 gauge stranded wire in pipe (not romex) dedicated branch circuit back to the main panel.  We also put in a TVSS and more earth grounding than you can shake a stick at.  40 ft with 2 concrete encased plates if I remember correctly.  It was completely insane, but I will say that the "overkill" earthing did make a difference.

As an audiophile, I've been a big fan of worthless add-on's and cash sucking doohickys for many, many years. I have an innate trust in the goodness of the market to guide me in making proper product decisions, such as my Shakti Stones and green ink CD marker pens that I keep next to the Tice Clock. An entire industry has been built on the backs of guys like me, and I'm damned proud of that. Damned proud.

But now I'm even more happy because the Wattgate has raised my audiophile experience to a whole new level of authority and acumen. After spending over $2,000 on new outlets, the difference I hear is nothing short of stunning and astonishing. Music sounds more like music. Quiet sounds more like quiet. The current flows so much more efficiently with these new outlets. Do they provide less resistance, less capacitance, and less inductance than my old outlets? No - but that is not the point. The point is that they sound SO MUCH BETTER.

Yes, these are heady times we live in. I'm so happy to have more stuff that greatly enhances the quality of our lives together. I just wish that all of you could HEAR what these outlets sound like.
