 Another Question for bnwitt

 Barry,

will "visio" let you print layouts in actual size? I plan on making my layouts full size and hope to print them out that way too. What do you think?

 Jonas,
yes. You have full control of the scale of print out of your drawing. If you choose File Page Setup you will see the print setup and the drawing scale tabs and that is where you set the scale and printing attributes. I routinely print from visio to my plotter (or to my 11X17 large format printer) full scale layouts for chassis and faceplates. With the chassis layout printed full scale, I am able to fold it over the metal chassis and use the printed layout as the drilling template to get the holes exactly where I want them. For faceplates, I print out a full scale layout to send to the end user for the purpose of making sure the holes in their chassis are in the right place before I engrave the real faceplate. Visio will also print your full scale layout across multiple pages for layouts that are larger than you can print and you can tape them together but you need to make sure you put some cross hair marks for proper alignment. I found the scale of my drawings to be very exact when printed on injet printers.

 Amen Barry

can't wait to get it.

I like the idea about sharing ideas and information. I wish I could do more of it, and be more helpful.

Thanks

Jonas
