Some expiremental tunes

Here's some strange songs for your listening pleasure. As usual, these were recorded with the amps and guitars I've built, as well as various pan lids out of the kitchen. Check out "Green Sunset" and "Evening Star."

Those are interesting.  I like it when art becomes fluid for art's sake.  It can be whatever you want it to be.

Keep in mind, though, that your art may be too avant-garde for the mainstream.  Check out guys like Uli Jon Roth and Davy Graham.  Those two are tame compared to some.  Do some searches on "experimental music" and check out some of those artists.  Here's a wiki.

Definately hear the Crimson vibe.  Have you lived in Buckeyeland for a long time?  There is a real Akron fringiness to your sound.  That's a compliment by the way.

McDonald and Giles.  Caravan.  The Nice.  I can hear it.  Takes me back.

Keep it going.  You got some very tasty ideas.  I think the day will come again when listeners will want something different.  When I turn on the radio I hear the same hip-hop song, the same modern country song, the same whiney folk rock song and the several thousand songs from bands all trying to sound like U2.  Best name for a band they could have possibly devised.  I hear four songs.

The fringe is still out there.  Maybe they'll come out hibernation.

Listen to Charles Ives.

Oh my gosh! I can't believe there's someone on this forum who knows Ives! I ADORE Charles Ives. Probably my favorite composer of all time.
I've been here all my life, but not involved in the Akron scene at all. I played a show in Akron once, when I still had a band. :P

Speaking of Ives, I have a new one up on the myspace that involves an Ives quote. Check out "Ives' Nightmare". Also check out "Polylydia".

So are you an Akronite, loogie?

Geo - I always like to check in on your stuff!  I like it!  Great work!  Although more mainstream, I like what you did on Venus Descends.  Really nice harmony on the vocals and nice flow to the song.  Keep on crankin!

Thank you my good sir! I really appreciate the compliments. I played the drums on that one. My brother (a drummer) scoffed at the "groove" I came up with, but hey.
