Ravenwest Guitars whaddayathink

I was flippin channels last weekend and dropped in on Fox's coverage of the Taxday Teaparties with particular emphasis on one hosted at the Alamo with Uncle Ted (Nugent) providing music and commentary... What he was playing looked like one of these:  http://www.ravenwestguitar.com/noname19.html   done up in Lizard Skin with a different neck inlay job- more like the standard raven logo... little combo amp with some pedals in the corner, miked. Got me to thinking again, about getting something like this:  http://www.ravenwestguitar.com/57.html  If you cruise Fleabay, they sell their blems pretty cheap, and I was curious as to y'alls opinions on their Telly clones any comments, experiences?
This problem calls for a bigger hammer!

Hmmm, no opinions? I am curious as to the viability of trading a few un-noticible dings or scrapes for a cheap(er) guitar. I'm a fair hand with some steel wool and some tools...  SWMBO had got a no-nombre chinee faux strat with a transistor radio sized amp (Danelectro) off fleabay new for about 75 bux that I set up to be playable! (The kid that the guitar was purchased for developed some behavioural issues and the guitar was auctioned off as a school fund raiser- the celebrity (sticks "Khin" into all the titles of his records) who autographed it for the auction was surprised by how playable the thing was. I'm hoping that lightning strikes twice... If that thing was ok, what can I git fer a few dollahs more?

(Hope it don't have the same adventures as the afore mentioned radio personalities custom Martin- got dropped live on the air with a sickening rattle-bong-crunch. That sound got more airplay than some hit records :o)
This problem calls for a bigger hammer!
