« on: May 31, 2009, 02:00:32 pm »
Guys, Ron Popiel (and that loudmouthed so'n'so on Discovery channel) would be proud! You (yes, you)! can have your own "nostalgic" am/fm desk radio for only $9.99 (pocket fisherman not included-license and tax extra-c'mon folks git'em while they're hot)  ;D

Deal Alert: It's less than $20 including shipping within the US ('pologies to th' furriners they'll hafta pay a bit more fer not livin 'n th' land of opporturnity)
This problem calls for a bigger hammer!

Illuminated Tubes!!
Vacuum Tube Lighting!!

I don't think they are even diodes. I think they are poor light-bulbs, built in reject KT66 glass.

must be faux tubes to run at that price, and off 4-AA batteries at that.

Wonder how fast that plastic would melt if we wired a *REAL* tube of 7-pin or larger style.

I think I saw that tube on Cregslist

You can remove the glass to clean off the inside

You do not need glass for the tube to work
