Wow, kind of rare to see someone playing live back then.
Everything was lipsynced usually.

Yeah, thats true! Most stuff as you say was badly lipsynched. I hadn't even really thought about that. At the end is Trini Lopez coming out, there's another clip following this one of them doing one of chucks tunes together (that was a thrill)

Way back when I used to stay up late on Friday and Saturday nights to watch Midnight Special, Rock Concert, and In Concert - I seem to remember Chuck being on MS and Tom Jones was the host.  They did a number together that was absolutely horrid!!!  I've got it on cassete somewhere around here, with countless more hours that I recorded off the tv.  They each took a verse and then Tom attempted to sing harmony with Chuck.  I think Chuck may have intentionally screwed it up so Tom sounded really, really bad!  However, Tom's Vegas-style did not sound good on his solo verse either!

More useless trivia....Ritchie Blackmore played on Tom Jones' first and second records back in the early 60's.

I may be totally misinformed about this but it seems like I read somewhere (once upon a time) that John McLaughlin play in the pit band for the Tom Jones TV show back in the 60's.  Strange World
