Thanks! My youngest daughter Brittney gave me an Mix/Meister by ION for christmas which allows you to record any external audio source to your compurter to MP3. The editing software has the ability to remove noise and pops---I haven't installed it yet but I hope you can cut and paste also. I've got tons of original songs I recorded in the 90's on a tascam 4 track cassette I could mix down plus have plenty of old vinyl record albums. And I do have an old instrumental version of "Jingle bell Rock" that is pretty cool! Maybe next christmas for that! Har  

BTW: I do have a Yamaha 16 track digital recorder with a CD burner that I've had a year now but for some reason my recording drive to write and record new songs has disapated.
