From waht I gather, mids on a Marshall for moderate to high gain sound should not be set to zero like as for cleans  or blues crunch on a Fender ?
Where do *you set your mids on a Marshall or Marshall clone amp?

I set them where I like - lower for scooped rhythm tones and higher for singing lead tones. Generally I use more mids when I play with a band than when playing at home alone. More mids help to cut through the band mix better without having to rely on sheer volume.
