Here are two videos relating to tone caps.  The first link compares different values and the second compares cap types.

It's been a long time since I experimented with different tone cap values, and back then I didn't have any idea what a "variable RC filter" was.  Now I do and understand why I like using a .015 tone cap for the neck pickup!
