move relay ft. switch jack

OK, on this D-HRM build I did .................

I am thinking I want to move the ft.switch jack to the relay to the back panel. Looks like it would be close to the same distance away from the relay.......BUT the wires would be close to the speaker jack and the effects loop jacks.

I am thinking these wires are not carrying a signal and simply activating the relay magnet to on/off?  

So I am thinking this should work out OK and not be problematic to move the ft. switch jack from the front panel to the back panel as indicated. Actually what I'd like to do is leave the mini-toggle switch on the front and the ft.switch jack on the back panel.

Will that work?

I want to free space on the front panel for a VVR control or PPMIV.

I hate asking these questions, but what is a PPMIV?

*edit* My guess is preamp, inverter, master something voltage or volume? Oh, wait!

It's a (cut n paste)pre phase invertor master volume!

No,it's 'post phase inverter master volume'.

Tubenit,there is no signal in the wires for the relay footswitch,so it will not likely affect the outputs at all.I've put jacks like that in a great many odd locations with no issues whatsoever.

One alternative: 1) temporarily remove the speaker jack; 2) "hard-wire" the speaker wire with wire nuts to + and (-); 3) move the relay jack to the speaker jack hole; 4) debug if necessary; 5) drill new hole with confidence!
