I have a plan to convert a aa764 vibro champ chassis to a 5e3 all i need is to add a spot for the extra powertube
with the current layout my thinking was to drill out one of the 9 pins to octal size and then add a 9 pin for the input towards the front of the amp by the inputs since the amp will be mounted in the traditional blackface style the tubes will be on the bottom could this cause heat and or electrical noise etc problems seems like it would bee easy to wire the heaters around the side of the chassis I guess my main hesitation would be that it would heat up the chassis there too much.

my thought is that it will be fine but just wanted to throw it out there.

Or you could use a solid state rectifier and put the additional 6V6 in the recto socket.
