Beautiful job!  That's a really cool looking amp!  How's it sound?

With respect, Tubenit

Thanks! It sounds awesome... What do you think?

I design my circuits to get a nice clean when played at full power and dialed in. The amp can get really dirty with stuff cranked and the wattage dropped down. Very cool distortion tone.

Tricky thing about this build is that the tube sockets are in a bad place. I took me a while to come up with a design and installation process to get this one to work.

The cabinet had that Blackheart logo and the Eminence speaker tag on the bottom.  I re-labeled with my logo and the Mercury logo. The Speaker is a Blue Patriot Cannabis Rex.

Nice job! That came out really clean.

I have the BH15 head version and did a similar rebuild; I kept the trannies (I thought they were very nice considering), and added an ef86 as V1, with the rest of the circuit being very similar to the original. I did some tweaks here & there of course...

Anyways, yeah, the tube location on this chassis is a pain; I mounted the replacement turret board in the same place you did, and also kept the output PCB. Mine, however, looks like a rat's nest :) Yours is really cleanly done.

Congrats!

Looks very nice! How many screws hold down the parts board? I see only 2!

Thanks.
Why are you counting screws?  I don't go around counting your screws.
There are three holding down the board. The board is securely fastened.

This is my second 15 watt conversion.

rbryerton: With V1 as a EF86 all that is left is the PI. How did you setup the preamp with the Volume, tone and Gain pots. How did you implement the presence control?
