GC Transistor Tester & Heath Kit Tube Meter
« on: May 18, 2011, 11:13:45 am »
I just finished working on a Foxx GGG fuzz pedal checking the transistors with my DVM. I was wishing i had an old transistor tester and DING! A customer came by and gave these to me. GOD does work in mysterious ways.  :worthy1:

Very nice plexi. Nice guy to give you those.

Have you tried them out yet? They look like there in very good shape.

Yes i just checked some vintage NOS AC128 transistors. No verdict yet. Im so tired i cant think straight. Have to do this again when i can devote more time to it.  Have to learn the meter and switch setting. Yes i have been givin much equipment and amps over the years by some great people. I am going to Sarasota in June to get my LP signed by a few rock legends. I cant mention there names just yet because they have not released the concert date yet. They emailed me and gave me there phone number to call them when i get down there. Man i cant wait. I get lucky now and then. Tip: GS with DB and girl guitar queen :think1:

That VTVM looks super clean, nice! I find those drifty, but they are usable. Of course they react somewhat more usefully than DVMs to dynamic situations, as long as you can discount any drift....but for that, I use a scope. Interesting how they dropped in your lap! Once in a while....neat stuff happens!
