RicharD- did you take that shot from Mt. Bonnell? Looks maybe further south than that... My place is out in Del Valle, about 10 miles from that lighter grey plume kinda in the middle (Cedar Creek flame-out). My work is out in Bastrop and we've been really struggling to get back to normalcy, whatever that is.

Wow. Looked at the "squirrel monkey" link above. That PT wiring scheme--using one of the dual primaries as another secondary, in series with the regular secondary--that's mad scientist enough for me.

i'm thinking that photo may have been taken from top of red bud trail area. mt. bonnell is further north.

Not my photo. If it were mine, there'd be at least 1 finger included.  I'm guessing it was shot from the roof of Barton Creek Mall or the AMD office building.
