Voltage control question

Hi all,

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a Tube Rectified, Cathode biased KT66 / TOS build. 
I have a set of spiffy new Edcor Iron that I have been itching to try out.
I'm trying to decide on whether to incorporate a variable voltage control circuit into power supply of the build.
I've never been able to hear or play an amp with this type of circuit.  I think I understand what it can and can't do.

My question is does this:  Do these types of voltage control circuits (built correctly) ever throw any noticeable hash or noise into the signal?

Thanks to Tube nit, Geezer, and others for all the work you guys put into this design...I can't wait to build one.

That's the key here.No they don't add noises when done right.

What you may be thinking of is the case of folks thinking, "I'll try a light dimmer to turn down the voltage." Dimmers, by the nature of their circuit, can and do spew noise onto the circuit they're affecting. You don't hear the noise from your incandescent lightbulb...
